The two days per week of racquetball has been a lifesaver. The first time I played, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. In fact, the first month I just about died each time we played. But I have made noticeable improvements in cardiovascular shape. Still way out of shape, but better. It turns out, I did pull some muscles playing softball. It was another wake up call for me. Work has been very busy, but I have done a good job of leaving work at work. I took a small vacation last week. I am going to try starting over with that 12-week transformation from Jon Gabriel. I need some sort of program to follow and his seems like an easy one that I could stick with. I planned my dinners for this week and went to the grocery store. I really, really wanted to grab some fast food for dinner – but I somehow resisted and made a few smoothies instead. Not sure where that strength came from, but I am thankful for it. Could this be me turning a corner?
